This Privacy Policy describes how StudioMNK ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the QR Scanner Pro mobile application (the "App") on iOS and Android devices.
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.
✓ QR Scanner Pro is designed with privacy in mind. The core scanning feature works entirely offline — no internet connection required, no data sent to our servers.
We collect the minimum information necessary to provide the App's features:

Important: We never read or store the content of QR codes on our servers. All scan data is saved exclusively in your device's local storage and never leaves your device unless you explicitly share it using your device's native share sheet.
The App requires access to your device's camera solely to scan QR codes and barcodes in real time. The camera feed is processed locally on your device and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted.
You can revoke camera permission at any time in your device's Settings app. Without camera access, the scanning feature will not function, but you can still view your previously saved scan history.
If you choose to scan a QR code from an image in your photo library, the App will request read-only access to your photos. This permission is optional and requested only when you tap "Gallery." Individual images are processed locally and are never uploaded to any server.
The App integrates the following third-party services:
Google AdMob — Used to display advertisements in the free version of the App. AdMob may collect certain device identifiers and usage data to serve relevant ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising via your device settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy → Tracking; Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization). Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics (Google) — Used to collect anonymous crash reports and aggregate usage statistics (e.g., which features are used most). No personally identifiable information is collected. Data is anonymized before transmission. See Firebase Privacy.
RevenueCat — Used to process in-app purchases (QR Scanner Pro upgrade). RevenueCat receives a random anonymous user ID and your purchase receipt to verify Pro status. No personal information such as name or email is shared. See RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
These third-party services have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these services.
The free version of QR Scanner Pro displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. These ads may be personalized based on your interests using data collected by Google. Upgrading to QR Scanner Pro (paid) removes all advertisements entirely.
We do not share any of your scan history or personal data with advertisers.
QR Scanner Pro offers a one-time purchase to unlock the Pro version. Purchases are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store using their respective payment systems. We do not have access to your payment card details. Purchase receipts are verified through RevenueCat to confirm Pro status.
Scan history and app settings are stored locally on your device. You can delete this data at any time:
Anonymous crash reports and analytics data retained by Firebase are subject to Google's retention policies (typically 90 days for crash data).
QR Scanner Pro is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Union). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can delete it.
QR Scanner Pro is available globally. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, correct, or delete your data.
Since we do not collect personally identifiable information directly (aside from what third-party services collect as described above), most GDPR rights are exercised through those services. For any requests, contact us at the email below.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
